Emax Crown

Emax crowns are a type of all-ceramic restoration that provides aesthetically pleasing results. Since the material used to make Emax crowns is glass, they tend to break more easily than other types of crowns when subjected to extreme force, as occurs in the molars. If a bridge is to be built, the back end is not the place to do it. Emax materials, due to their glassy structure, also permit more precise adjustments to the crown. An Emax crown will only break if the tooth is too thin when it is being fabricated. There is less need to remove healthy tooth because the material doesn’t need to be as thick as other options.
